Introducing my Introducing my Initial Interest in Sound Art
What does the term “Sound Art” mean to me?
My love for sound art mainly stems from the complete induvial creative freedom. My love for the art of sound began in college, in school I never showed an interest in music I disliked the curriculum.
My biggest interests were the subjects like photography where I had complete individual creative freedom for my course work. In college sound design gave me also complete individual creative freedom for my course work, I chose sound arts in university to continue my love to create with freedom and thrive of the drive of creativity.
It was in college I was introduced to the world of sound design. It brought me to see a whole new perspective of creativity which I fell in love with.
I’m a massive consumer of films and have played games in the past for enjoyment so now as a creator, there’s a feeling of love when putting my energy into creating for films and games.
I love the creative freedom being a sound artist, what I learned from my 2-year college course, I have a creative spark for working on the sound effects for tv. I love manipulating sound I can happily do it for hours and enjoy every part of the creative process.
In my sound art course at university, I will be keeping an open mind encase I find more of a creative spark for any other creative areas in which as a course we will cover.
