I like the Experimental music between interviews and the experimental art visuals.
I like the realism in audio, which features low quality and real-life ambient background noise films today are heavily edited sound removing all background. Portrays an element of time and truth to an audience.
I didn’t like the pacing, it felt slow and my attention kept tuning out. Primarily because they used the silent technique in visual experimentation scenes but the sound could have kept my attention. It had the wrong effect used in this case my personal experience.

Conclusion of Brakhage
The best way to learn about film would be to teach film through cinema. I know it sounds obvious but for me it wasn’t. I am really enjoying this preparation activity, I mean films as homework sign me up!

A film with no dialogue means the story is told through sound design. This sound design was really offputting, there was continually disturbing repetition of sounds.
Scenes with animals surprise me as animals are unpredictable usually a scene is scripted out in which an animal can’t act. This film’s use of animals capturing raw footage of unscripted animal behaviour is very fun to watch.
Conclusion of Le Quattro Volte
Unfortunately 47:20 minutes into the film the Wi-Fi cut out at 22:33 just in time for bed. I liked the sound design however lack of action was a negative but that’s a personal opinion, not a critique. Watching a film with no dialogue was interesting as I had never seen that in a film before.

Are you going to use music? Think of tonality, vibration, harmonics. Why are you using this instrument? Think outside the box beyond expectations. Are they symbolic, or are they motifs? It’s about textures and tones.
