Information about the Insulation Process of a Sound Exhibition

Sound Exhibition Insulation Mine & Peer Ideas
While in the space ideas were emerging from my peers and myself.
My Idea
I wanted to include the space into my work and seeing the windows in the space spoke to me. I came up with the concept of a headphone installation that takes you to different eras of the sonic environment, past, present and future.
I began sketching a diagram of my idea of how I could portray past, present and future. We are lucky to be living in a time of peace which we take for granted a sonic exhibition taking people back in time will show how lucky of a time we live in.
My idea was inspired by the TV show Bodies a 2023 thriller that explores time travel as real, this took the audience into the past, present and future which I found inspiring.
I also was inspired by the work of Banghan Xiao an MA Sound Art student their exhibition recently at Southwark Park. They took us to three different Morse code signals which inspired my multi-headphone set-up idea. The use of sculptures was great and inspiring.

I volunteered to be the first to archive the entire process. It is important to capture how we developed and calibrated as a group to install a curated sound exhibition.
Robbin and Aparna will create posters for the event.
Mario also volunteered to take charge of creating a theme. This theme will be dictated as our ideas develop.
