I received great constructive feedback from today’s session.
Volume Levels
In the scene, the dialogue volume levels are too low. This is mainly because of an EQ high cut, however, my feedback is to use the low frequencies activating the ‘feelings’ felt from low frequencies.
Side Chain
Including sidechain, manipulation will duct the sound effects, ambience and music behind the mix for fronting the dialogue. Use lightly for subtle but effective.
Harmonics & Layering
Compose auditory layering for example harmonising a pad behind the fan for dramatic effect. And use this method for other sound effects.
Distortion
When the characters feel the overwhelming emotional hardship the story entails reflect these through auditory resemblance for example using distortion.
Shapard Tone
Shapard tones create the illusion of never-ending pitch-rising audio. This was recommended to consider in implementing at a time suited.
Conclusion
In conclusion, I am inspired by the constructive criticism from my peers and lectures to further the success of this project. Finding the time to juggle my essay and collaboration has been challenging however I plan to find time free to make these changes.
