Exploring the theme of grief through art is a dealing with and healing grief which I would like to explore in my art and practice.

Developing Ideas: Future
The future is believed by many to be a technological world run by artificial intelligence. Will a human’s own creation be at fault for its own downfall? The beauty of the future is it can be anything… Do not let the belief of your future be decided by others. Have your own manifestations of your future. My belief is the voice of Mother Nature is the sound of the future, we need Mother Nature she does not need us.
Developing Technical Ideas
Audio
My original idea was to have a multi-headphone experience that playback audio of past, present and future however I am now exploring an alternative idea of speaker setup.
A headphone experience would be an individual experience for each past, present and future however a speaker setup merges them all having a greater effect on manipulating your auditory sense of time.
I can use reverse effects and fast-forward effects transitioning sounds that depict different eras of society.
Visual
Use pictures taken with different cameras and the quality will depict a visual representation of different eras. For example, my film camera will represent the past and the modern iPhone camera will represent the present… The future visual representation I will need to develop further.
Conclusion
Today’s research was successful in developing my ideas towards the success of my gallery show. I have the idea of a sonic representation of the future, the sound of mother nature. I am very happy with this as I wanted to avoid the majority view of the future being AI and the technological world. I want people to have their own beliefs which can inspire change.
I have now further understood how others have explored the theme of grief in their work which will help me make a decision and inspire me to explore grief in my work however I am still unsure how to make my art personal towards my grieving process.
A sound art gallery exhibition covers areas of visual elements as well as audio. I am very happy with my idea that the equipment choice can represent the quality that can be used as a representation of time travel.
